Natural History

Linda Cross, Ragellah Rourke, Ralph Stout and Bruce Murphy

September 22, 2011 through October 30, 2011

Natural History: An exhibit of new archeological sculptures by Linda Cross, mixed media paintings by Ragellah Rourke, and linear color paintings by Ralph Stout. Renowned sculptor Linda Cross works from the landscape, particularly citing geology and archeology, creating rock formations out of found objects, recycled detritus, paper and paint. These wall reliefs cling to the wall as very naturalistic sites, many of them familiar places in Columbia County such as Buckley's Corners and Taghanic Creek. The work will be on view from September 22 - October 30, with a reception for the artists on Saturday September 24 from 6 - 8 PM. All are welcome.
